Making things by hands, working with my hands has long been a part of my life. Making this a part of my artist practice seems natural. In the world of photography there are many old and new processes to learn and experiment with. Here are a sample of techniques and processes I have jumped into but yet to master.

Dear March 2020

Handmade book of cyanotypes and poem honoring the month of March As the pandemic slowed us down, I spent the month of March 2020 documenting the changing season through botanical toned cyanotypes. I learned more about paper and bookmaking. I played with poetry. The result was this book Dear March 2020 a love story of the month, created with cyanotypes embedded in handmade pages.

Hand Colored Photographs. I am in awe of painters but I am not one. I dream of standing in a field of lavender with my esal, paints, brushes and canvas. Learning to hand color a black and white photograph may be the closest I get to being a painter.
