A polymer photogruver, also known as a photopolymer gravure, is a modern printing technique used in fine art photography. It combines the principles of intaglio printmaking and photography to create stunning prints with remarkable depth and detail. Each handmade print, from exposing the plate, inking, wiping and hand pulling through the press, with intention and expression of the artist creates a one-of-kind work of art. I was first drawn to this printing process by the rich, ethereal and timeless look of the print. As I learned the process I found a calmness in the slow meditave work of creating the print. A welcome change form the fast paced digital world I had been in.
